The 5th Housemate

This is Skulden, our 5th housemate.
He's been with us since the end of October of our first year of university.

Mostly he just hangs around the house.
Sometimes he plays monopoly. He's not very good.

He likes to have a good time too, but can sometimes get carried away.

But the best thing he does...
is dance.

Free Crappy Housemate Portrait

Have you guys seen this website?
Free Crappy Portraits
It causes many giggles.

Since me and my housemates have started a collection of drawings of the four of us I thought I'd submit a photo to the site to get one more.

This is the photo I gave them.

And this is the drawing they sent me.
(It's not on the website yet but I couldn't wait to show you!)

They drew me as an owl because I was wearing my owl hat, which makes sense right.
But a bird, a beaver and a....dinosaur with an afro??
Hilarity!!!

Monster in the kitchen

My talented housemate Ryan has come up with these hilarious drawings throughout the year that I thought I would share with y'all.

A monster in the kitchen munching on Pringles.

A sea creature being disturbed in the bath.

A gingerbread man meeting his milky fate.

And a monster in the cupboard.
That's my food cupboard by the way.
And it was just after Christmas which is my excuse for all the chocolate!

You can see more of Ryan's work here.

House portraits

Remember this drawing of my housemates?
Well we thought it would be fun if we each did a drawing of us all, and here they are.

This is Lucy's. She's a fine artist like me.

This is Luke's. He's a graphic designer.

And this is Ryan's. He's the one with the beard and he's studying Games Art.
The idea behind his drawing is that I'm doing one of my signature poses while the others are looking annoyed. Ha!

We built a fort!

Since our final hand in of the year my housemates and I have had some free time on our hands.
So we built a fort!

This is the best photo I have of the whole thing.
We used many blankets (including my Camp Rock one that you can see on the right there) which we pegged to ropes and chairs, and we even made it so that the sofa was inside the fort.
We also added fairy lights on the inside which looked really pretty when it started getting dark.

We did awesome things in the fort like watch Take Me Out...

...and play Scrabble.

Forts have come along way since I used to drape a blanket over two chairs and call it a den when I was little.
And they're not just for kids as the following forts show.
My room
from Flickr

and from Design Sponge which even as a how-to.
What was the last time you built a fort/den?
